With DNS Anycast, your website does not have to be accessed via a specific DNS server (DNS Unicast) and can instead select the nearest DNS server from an international network of server locations. This speeds up access to your website even more and offers better protection against potential DDoS attacks.
With our trustee service, you are represented in the domain registry by “Swiss Domain Trustee AG.” That means third parties are unable to access your personal information. Customers of the trustee service experience no disadvantages. We always forward legitimate inquiries to you via “Swiss Domain Trustee.”
Domain loss protection ensures that your domain still belongs to you even if the fee for domain renewal isn’t paid in time or if something goes wrong with the payment for your domain renewal (e.g. an expired credit card). In case of an outstanding payment, we will make sure the domain stays reserved for you and will contact you by e-mail, text message, or telephone. In the meantime, your websites and e-mail addresses will remain functional, with no service interruptions.
We protect your personal data by not passing it on to third parties. It remains with us in Switzerland under lock and key. The domain data protection (trustee service) means that you are represented in the domain registry by “Swiss Domain Trustee AG” instead of your personal contact data. Of course, you remain the legal owner of the domain with all the attendant rights and duties. We forward any correspondence sent to the e-mail address of the neutral representative.

The registry offices of top-level domains (TLD) determine whether a data protection service (domain privacy) is permitted or not. For some TLDs, the company must also have a registered office within the country in question. We only meet this requirement for certain countries.
Without DNS Anycast, the DNS entries for your domain are on the Hostpoint name servers, which are exclusively located in our Zurich data center in Switzerland. DNS Anycast publishes the DNS entries in numerous locations around the world. If a website is visited from the US, for example, the nearest name server location in the US is contacted. This means the access time to your website is shortened and your website can be delivered even faster.
